Hello, my faithful subjects. This is your lovely Queen Luna granting you her services to explain just how Partner Requests and PR thread management works. No need to thank me darlings; it is my pleasure.
At any rate, I have created a general survey of information that SHOULD (and in some cases, must) be included in a PR thread.
You may simply copy-paste the code box at the bottom and fill it out in your thread, or you may bring joy and pleasure to us all by designing something far more intricate and photogenic.
KEEP IN MIND, THIS IS ONLY A LIST OF THE BEAR NECESSITIES!!! PLEASE ADD ANY OTHER INFORMATION YOU'D LIKE!!!
1) What is your name/penname? (Perhaps it is simply your username. At any rate, tell people what it is that you are called.)
2) How old are you? (At the very least, are you in the teen range [13-17] or the adult range [18+]?)
3) What gender do you prefer playing? (Male, female, or no preference.)
4) What sexual orientation are your characters of? (Heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, asexual, or other.)
5) Do you double? (Simple yes or no.)
6) Where do you prefer roleplaying at? (PM inbox, email, or thread.)
7) What genres do you play? (Just list.)
8) What do you want in your partner? (Weekly posts? Doubling ability? Literate posts? Patience? Socialization in OOC? Partner in your age group?)
9) Are you willing to play any fanfictions? (List the fanfictions you are open to playing. Include if you prefer canon or OC.)
10) Do you have any favored pairings? (AngelxDemon? KidnapperxKidnapee? HeroxVillain? ScientistxMutant? DoctorxPatient? StudentxTeacher?)
11) Do you have any plot ideas? (Explain your ideas briefly.)
Please note that it is also advised that you share a little bit about yourself: personality, nationality, lifestyle, values, etcetera. In this way, you can hope to sooner find a compatible partner that will lead to a lasting, satisfactory partnership!
Also, while I have you here and (hopefully) paying attention, this isn't just a free-for-all posting spree where you post anything you want whenever you feel like it. After all, nothing's fun without rules! And don't you dare shut the tab now, you fools! These rules will be enforced, and you will receive warnings for committing these crimes. Understood? Good. Now, please proceed cautiously.
1) No composing Partner Requests for 1x1s to be hosted on other sites. Email is, clearly, an exception for this, as there are those of you who like a more individualized, private environment. That being said, please no asking for partners for sites like Skype, Google +, Facebook, etcetera. This is merely a matter of security and the protection of identities. (NOTE: I do not have an issue with advertising for partners to RP via email and then having the pair decide to use a social media website/application. I merely don't want these private accounts expressed anywhere on this website, for obvious reason.)
2) No advertising smut plots. If you have a smut plot that you want to do, please just make a note on your PR to contact you for information on your mature-content based ideas. In accordance to Insania's age rule, teens may only smut-play with teens and adults can only smut-play with adults. Once you have worked out the kinks for your smut-play, set up a thread in the private board corresponding with your age group. (NOTE: If you do not have access to the Smutplay board, contact Luna (LunaDementia) via email or private messaging to hook you up to the invisible board.)
3) Don't post repetitive threads. In all reality, Partner Requests should last you for a few months at least. You can edit in new plots to the same thread, update your survey when necessary, and continue running your system from that one, singular thread. If you feel you need another PR thread, please wait a minimum of 90 days after posting your first one.
4) Do NOT continuously bump your PR thread. This is a personal annoyance. I NEVER want to see a post reading "bump." To bump your thread, which you may do once a week, please post something coherent. For example: "Hey, I'm still looking for partners," or "Is anybody else interested?" or "I added more plots to the OP!" Did I just blow your mind? Yeah, I know I did.
5) No requesting a specific gender for your partner. Wait. Before you send the hitmen, just wait for a moment and allow me to explain my meaning. You CAN request your partner to PLAY a specific gender. You CANNOT request your partner to BE a specific gender. Now, put those weapons away, or I'll send you all to the dungeons. (NOTE: I will make exceptions to this rule if I have good reason. If you are uncomfortable playing with a certain gender for whatever reason, please don't be obliged to force aside your discomforts. You may set out a request on your PR thread to have a partner of a certain gender, just have a plausible reason if a Mod requests one of you.)
